Luisenbach is a self-taught visual artist from Leipzig, Germany, whose work has been shaped by years of travel, living in the UK, Ireland, and Portugal. Drawing since childhood, she participated in group exhibitions as a teenager, sparking her lifelong artistic journey. Continuously refining her craft, she has furthered her education through practical experience and seminars with renowned artists, allowing her to develop a distinctive and evolving visual language.
Having attended several artist residencies, she has exhibited widely, both in solo and group shows, primarily in Leipzig and Berlin. Over the past year, she has also had the opportunity to regularly exhibit her work in Portugal, including in Lisbon, Seia, and Caldas da Rainha.
Her work is a fusion of various media, including acrylics, oils, graphite, charcoal, and pastel, with line, contrast, and structure serving as key stylistic elements. Her art is deeply influenced by personal experiences, encounters, thoughts, and dreams, exploring themes of interaction, conflict, and connection. Through her art, she aims to translate complex thoughts into figures and characters, often depicting vulnerability and fear, but always with the intention of offering a path toward personal understanding.
In addition to her visual art practice, she holds a diploma in media and publishing and works remotely as a children's book designer for a non-profit organization in Leipzig. Art is her passion and her freedom - a lifelong pursuit that continues to shape her vision and creative expression.
